It’s All About the Why
Jan 30th
I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I would often wonder why I wanted to write a movie. I’m kind of hyper. I love to sing and dance. Sitting for hours at a computer wasn’t my idea of fun. Plus, it seemed like such an unusual and unrealistic thing for me to do. I used to think do I want to do it for money? Money buys comfort, but it won’t buy happiness, and doing it for money just isn’t enough. Do I want to write for fame? Well that’s just dumb, because from what I hear fame is empty and fleeting.
I finally just had to give up trying to figure it out and know for sure it was all going to be okay and just do it! Let it flow, as they say. I soon realized that when I listened to that muffled voice inside and gave myself a chunk of time to write I enjoyed it. The time just flew by. I found it very satisfying, even though it frustrated the heck out of me at times. I knew I loved words. There are certain lines in movies that are so powerful. I have some favorite screenwriters that I’ll share in another post, but James Brooks must be mentioned now! You are a genius! Thank you for listening to your Spirit and writing!
When I finally started writing on a regular basis I had the most amazing Spiritual connection. I mean I didn’t even know that kind of connection was possible. This moment was so huge, it gave me my answer right then. That writing is extremely healing for me, and it’s the ultimate way (even more than singing and dancing) that I connect with Spirit. And that my friends is all the reason I need.
Do you have something you want to do that seems well, wacky? Something that gnaws at you, that you almost just wish would go away. In the words of Nike “just do it!” I believe those messages, voices are Divine. Just decide “I’m worth letting myself do this” and take a leap of faith. Then just watch the miracles that will happen in your life. You’ll be amazed, not to mention HAPPY!
I’d like to share a wonderful quote I believe I got from Bob Proctor’s Insight of the Day. “When you have a purpose in life, a vision for what you want to achieve, and you know why you want to achieve it, your work becomes fun and the time you spend working seems to just whiz by.” Clayton J. Moore, Financial Expert
“I Can’t Do THAT!”
Jan 29th
While I was posting information about my movie, Grand Prize Wedding, I couldn’t help but think about how many years I tortured myself by not giving time to writing. I used to hear this little voice in my head “why aren’t you writing?”, “when you are going to start writing again.” It was actually pretty annoying. I had a busy life with two little boys, but mostly I didn’t think I really could do it. I wanted do deep down in the worst way, but rarely would work at it. I would wonder “why?!” Why do I want to write a movie? I’ll touch on that tomorrow.
I then thought of a conversation I had just last night. I attended an event and met a women who works for the federal court system – does a fine job. However, her passion is cooking. She cooks new recipes every week and is even involved with a national test kitchen giving them results, etc. She shared that after high school graduation she really wanted to go to cooking school in France and become a chef. She then went on to say the million dollar phrase, “but I didn’t think it was something I could do.” Ta daaaa! There it is, a phrase I know oh so well. A phrase I let direct my life for countless years. I’d venture to say it’s a belief that plagues many of us. Poor conditioning/programming or negative false beliefs bring on a myriad of negative self-talk: “I’m not good enough, I don’t know that world, no one in my family has done that, I’m not educated enough, I don’t know how to act in that world, I can’t do that!” Blah, blah, blah the list goes on and on.
Well it occurred to me if everyone thought that way, nothing would ever get done. We wouldn’t have the arts, industry, technology we know and enjoy. It all goes back to who created us and that fact that no person has any more or less capacity to do something than the other. When we really FEEL and know that God created us to be whoever, whatever we want to be, we won’t be afraid to do anything. I believe are deepest dreams are Divine Inspiration. When we shut down those little voices we are shutting ourselves off from Spirit and then boy do we have trouble. I’ll touch on that later.
So what dreams are you shutting down with false beliefs?
Master Mind Group Anyone?
Jan 22nd
Last Saturday I had the pleasure of hosting my master mind group for a celebration “as if” party. Being a part of a master mind group is one of the best decisions I have made in my life. We are a group of people that want to make big changes in our life and have big goals. For me it was to devote more time to singing, dancing and most of all finish writing my movie. For others such as Brenda Spaude, www.44beyond.com, award winning food photographer, she wants to increase her studio business and finish a novel she’s been working on. She’s well on her way to doing that. Mary Jo Purinton has opened a healing center on Washington Island. Others are starting their own businesses, manifesting their sole mate. The list goes on and on. And we’re all under the incredible, gifted leadership of Shelley Riutta, www.RadiantLifeCounseling.com. The most beautiful thing about this group is that we love and support each other unconditionally. We have two conference calls and one gathering a month, plus we study books and materials on manifestation, prosperity, etc. Every time I’m with these people I learn soooo much. It’s really incredible how far we have all come. It has completely restored my faith and crushed all my negative false beliefs about people changing and manifesting their dreams. It’s simply never too late to create the life you want.
That’s where the party comes in. We all have made such incredible progress that I decided we really needed to celebrate and be in that energy of having all of our goals achieved. It’s a very powerful tool to spend an evening at that high level of resonance. It lingers well after the event. I can still think back to that night and FEEL how fun, and wonderful it was to be together and CELEBRATE. The above pic is of me hugging our fearless leader, Shelley. Another group shot on the way.
Are any of you in a master mind group? How is it working for you?
Doing Your “thing” is a Blessing to us All….
Jan 15th
It was warm New Year’s Day, and that’s saying a lot where I live. So I decided to take a walk and soak in some sun. I live by gorgeous woods and wandered to the edge of the entrance. I stood there and just looked at the beautiful trees and listened to the wind blow through them, when suddenly I heard a knocking sound. I looked around to figure out what it was as it started then stopped, started and stopped. The source was finally revealed, a beautiful Red Headed Wood Pecker – the real deal, a rather large bird. I sat down right in the snow and watched it go about it’s business doing it’s thing not paying me any attention, and I felt blessed. I actually felt blessed watching it.
On my way back home I coudn’t help but relate that to what I have discovered. When we do our thing, what we love, pursue our dreams, this is not a selfish thing. It’s a blessing because we are excited, feel alive, happy, content. And the resonance of that energy is projected throughout the universe. I can’t think of a better blessing.
Remember live your passion, connect with Spirit.
Peace, Love, & Joy!

Welcome to my website! My mission is inspire people all over the world to pursue their wildest dreams. Because what I learned through my own journey is that we are all amazing beings with unlimited potential. We are worth our biggest dreams and more than capable of achieving them. (Or as David Neagle says receiving them). More on that later.
